The National Maple Syrup Festival takes place in early March each year. In 2015, the event moves to Nashville, Indiana, in Brown County.

The festival offers maple syrup tastings as well as live music, demonstrations, tours and activities such as having a pancake flipped onto your plate from 20 yards away. Visitors can also learn about the history of maple syrup and try a variety of maple-flavored foods at shops in Pioneer Village, including candies, cookies and breads, as well as art made from maple sap.
