Johnny Appleseed Festival

Celebrate the spirit of John Chapman, aka Johnny Appleseed, at the 40th annual Johnny Appleseed Festival in Fort Wayne.

A national folk hero, Chapman traveled the countryside planting apple orchards in Fort Wayne and surrounding areas. The family-friendly festival honors his contributions with lots of tasty apple treats (and other types of food), plus historical demonstrations, crafts, antiques, a farmers market and more. Head to the festival stage at 2 p.m., when all of the bands, which perform in styles of the 1800s, join together to play in unison. And be sure to keep an eye out for President Abe Lincoln or Johnny Appleseed himself, as they’ve been known to wander through the crowd.

The festival takes place Sept. 20 and 21 at Johnny Appleseed Park. Learn more about the event at johnnyappleseedfest.com.

I tried to find info about Possum Molly on the program. I do see she is on the River Stage. Molly always has a story. We always learn very much about the time period from her. Are the stage times the only time Possum Molly is at the festival?
