Closing out the summer, a three-month celebration of art, architecture and community begins August 26. Exhibit Columbus – a must-see for design aficionados – will feature more than 15 temporary installations of architecture and art. The event will pair new works by five internationally known artists with Columbus’ time-honored treasures. For example, an ultra-modern vision of a wigwam by Native American architect Chris Cornelius of studio:indigenous will share space with the First Christian Church designed by Eliel Saarinen.
“Exhibit Columbus is something special – a game-changer,” Erin Hawkins, marketing director for the Columbus Visitors Center, says of this feast for the eyes. “This is going to be architecture on steroids.”
