Dec. 8, 1976: Marion Stackhouse, a hog and grain farmer from Westfield, is elected president upon George Doup’s resignation. Under his leadership, INFB records the largest Farm Bureau membership in the country in both 1977 and 1978, reaching more than 250,000.
