In March 2020, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance (IFBI) implemented its early response plan to the pandemic. Within days, the world flipped upside down, and it’s now been one year since our world changed.
Despite the challenges presented, IFBI still had a great year. Here are some highlights:
- We shared photos of our employees’ work-from-home stations internally and on social media. Individuals had office spaces that included everything from art murals to pets to year-round Christmas decorations. Some employees never stopped working in the office, and IFBI appreciates their adaptability and agility.
- In April, the company gave back more than $8 million in auto insurance premium to our Hoosier clients. IFBI made a commitment to protect our clients, and the premium refunds were one way to do that.
- The impact of COVID-19 was substantial on non-profit organizations. In addition to planned giving, IFBI made significant contributions to organizations such as the American Red Cross, Indiana-based food banks, multiple Urban League chapters, the Boys & Girls Club and others.
- The company continued providing exceptional customer service to members while offices were closed to the public, created the Diversity and Inclusion Council and worked with Indiana Farm Bureau to launch Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans.
IFBI has a great deal of gratitude for our employees, agents, community partners, members, clients, family and friends that have supported our company during these challenging times. We pride ourselves on the fact that we are far more than an insurance company; we’re a family protecting your family.
