Allen County
In the past election cycle, Farm Bureau members played an active role in opposing Allen County’s Single County Executive (SCE) referendum through the “No to One” political action committee. Allen County Farm Bureau President Roger Hadley appeared frequently in Fort Wayne media with a clear message about what the SCE would mean for rural representation in local government. With Farm Bureau’s help, the county built a strong local grassroots network and reached out statewide as well. Allen County Farm Bureau worked with “No to One” to develop a campaign plan and then helped execute it flawlessly. On Nov. 4, 2014, Allen County voters overwhelmingly said “No” to the changes being proposed for their local government.
