Delightful, Delicious DeBrand
Cathy Brand-Beere started making candy when she was 8 years old. She sold the sweet treats to her classmates in elementary school and continued through high school, encouraged and inspired by her parents, who owned a confectionery supply store. Though she made all different sorts of candies, cakes and other goodies, Cathy was particularly drawn to chocolate. In 1987, she decided to pursue that passion and launched her company, DeBrand Fine Chocolates. From sourcing cocoa from Peru to experimenting with sea salt caramels, Cathy has combined her natural talent for chocolate-making with the best international and local ingredients, and the people of Indiana can’t seem to get enough. With five locations and nearly 100 employees, DeBrand Fine Chocolates produces a variety of delicious delicacies, including truffles, chocolate boxes, peanut butter cups, mints and more. My husband lived in Ft Wayne when we were dating. He always treated me with fine chocolates from Debrand. My favorite is the truffles.
I was in Ft. Wayne taking my a registry exam and on the way home stopped at Debrand. This was my first experience and I ordered a wonderful hot chocolate and sampled may wonderful chocolates.

These chocolates are delicious! I learned about DeBrand years ago when my niece worked there. Any great quality chocolate is wonderful, but dark chocolate is my favorite.
