Mixed Berry Sangria
- Store fresh berries in the refrigerator unwashed until ready to use. Simply rinse and pat lightly to remove excess water.
- No mint? Fresh basil leaves are a savory substitute.
- Honey blends easily into beverages and imparts a slightly different taste. Use sugar if you prefer, stirring well to dissolve.
- Choose low-calorie versions of cranberry-raspberry juice and lemon-lime soda to create an overall lower-calorie sangria.
- All berries, including blackberries and raspberries, are filled with antioxidants to help combat the oxidation, or damage, to our cells. Berries are also good sources of vitamins C and K, plus fiber and cancer-fighting phytonutrients.
