Fall Into Art/Dragging Main

Perry County’s fall festival season kicks off on Sept. 8 with its first-ever Fall Into Art, coinciding with the popular Dragging Main event.

“Dragging Main recalls the time when just riding around town was the popular thing for young people to do,” Betty Cash, executive director of the Perry County Convention and Visitors Bureau, says. “Its first year, there were so many vehicles, it took each one more than two hours to travel 14 blocks.”
