7. Sheep Vocabulary:

  • Ewe – a female sheep used for breeding
  • Ram – a reproductively intact male sheep used for breeding
  • Wether – a male sheep that is no longer reproductively intact and not used for breeding
  • Lamb – a baby sheep or the meat of a sheep between 4 and 6 months old
  • Mutton – the meat of an adult sheep
  • Flock – a group of sheep
  • Lanolin – oil from sheep wool used in cosmetics
