Looking for winter veggies, gifts and more? Check out the Richmond Farmers Market, which is one of a handful of farmers markets in Indiana open year-round. This market aims to strengthen and promote the local food economy in Richmond and provide a community gathering space in Wayne County.

The market supports local, small-scale farming and gardening operations by providing an opportunity to sell homegrown produce and homemade farm-related items directly to shoppers.

It’s the perfect opportunity to purchase Indiana homegrown and homemade products for holiday gifts. Vendors offer pies, jams, tie-dye, honey, teas, jewelry and more, making it an ideal shopping spot for upcoming festivities and stocking stuffers. You can also pick up local, in-season ingredients to make your dishes even more delectable. The Richmond Farmers Market has fresh produce throughout the whole winter, including cold-hearty vegetables – like greens, radishes and mushrooms – root vegetables, garlic and more, as well as eggs and meat.

From November to April, the Richmond Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Starr Gennett Building, located at 101 S. 1st St. in Richmond. Visit facebook.com/richmondfarmersmarketin or richmondindiana.gov/farmersmarket for more information and summer hours.
