Why You Need to Follow Backroad Baker on Instagram
Cookies Galore
When Olivia Luse stumbled across an Instagram photo of picture-perfect decorated cookies, she had no idea that it would change her life. Inspired by the photo and having always loved to bake, Luse got to work experimenting with design techniques and different recipes. She started off making them for family and friends, but soon enough, the orders were rolling in from all around – and her business, Backroad Baker, was born. Now, years later, her cookie designs sweeten the Instagram feeds of others (follow her at @BackroadBaker).

Although the decorations and shapes are varied, Luse’s signature product stays the same – a soft vanilla sugar cookie topped with an icing that has an almond-flavor base, plus an extra secret flavor to give it that special dose of deliciousness. Most of the cookies are custom-made for special occasions (with at least three weeks advance notice), but for the Christmas season, Backroad Baker offers a variety of Christmas cookies that are perfect for dinner parties.
To place an order, email backroadbaker@gmail.com with the date, theme and desired quantity. Please note that due to Indiana’s home-baking laws, all orders must be picked up locally from Luse’s home (just outside of Lebanon).
