On the third weekend of November, Ferdinand hosts Christkindlmarkt, a two-day event that kicks off the Christmas season with shopping and live entertainment. Guests are invited to Monastery Immaculate Conception Church the Friday evening before the festival begins to celebrate Christkindlmarkt Eve, during which the Christkindl, or Christmas Angel, appears.
