Wolf Cave in Spencer

Located in McCormick’s Creek State Park, Wolf Cave is perfect for those looking to explore on their own as guided tours are not available. The cave, which gets its name from the native wolves that used to inhabit it, was formed as underground water dissolved the limestone bedrock and carved out a network of passageways. Although visitors say it’s a tight squeeze, they also report it’s well worth the effort.
