Madison’s National Historic Landmark District transforms into an art oasis welcoming thousands of visitors Sept. 30 through Oct. 1. The Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art features 175 fine artists and craftsmen showcasing an array of handmade work sure to accommodate every budget and style.

This festival is free and designed for the entire family to enjoy. Alongside the vendors, the festival features live entertainment, kids’ activities, the Riverfront FoodFest with more than 20 food vendors and an entertainment garden with local craft beer.
After shopping, relish a relaxing moment in the Madison Chautauqua Entertainment Garden on the front lawn of the historic Lanier Mansion, with shady seating perfect for enjoying the local food and brews.

The Annual Chalk Walk showcases adults and children alike decorating Elm Street with colorful street art. For a small fee, you can sign up for your own spot.
