Happy Birthday, Bill Monroe Bean Blossom Bluegrass Music Festival
With more than 65 talented bands playing awesome bluegrass tunes, the annual Bill Monroe Bean Blossom Bluegrass Music Festival celebrates 50 years in 2016.
The festival is the oldest continuously running bluegrass festival in the world, held over eight days at the Bill Monroe Music Park & Campground in Bean Blossom. Along with the best acts of the genre, including Del McCoury, the Lonesome River Band, Dailey & Vincent, and more, other activities include music and instrument workshops, a youth bluegrass camp (for an additional charge), and the Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Country Star Museum.
This year’s festival takes place June 11-18. For more information on the bands and to purchase tickets, visit billmonroemusicpark.com.
