Encounter the Animals

Potawatomi Zoo – the oldest zoo in Indiana – offers a variety of classes, activities and daily opportunities to interact with “animal ambassadors” and talk with zookeepers. To sign up for events at Potawatomi Zoo, visit potawatomizoo.org. Here are just a few of the special events coming up this spring:

  • FrogWatch class on March 16 will teach families how to be “citizen scientists” who can help professional scientists conserve frog populations.
  • Celebrate Earth Day at the zoo on April 20 with activities and prizes for kids.
  • Learn about the endangered species who live at Potawatomi Zoo and how to help protect their wild cousins on May 18, Endangered Species Day.
