Take a step back in time and learn what farm life was like in Indiana a century ago at The Farm at Prophetstown near Battle Ground.

Located inside Prophetstown State Park, this 1920s homestead offers a unique opportunity for visitors to learn about the history of agriculture and the homesteading arts. Programs, events and classes offered at the farm teach visitors about topics including animal care, gardening, canning, blacksmithing, farm-to-table cooking, baking and much more.

The property is also home to a variety of heritage breed animals that would have been found on farms during the 1920s as well as two farmhouses functioning as museums to give visitors a glimpse of how farm families lived during that time.

The Farm at Prophetstown is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 1 through Oct. 31 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays through Sundays from Nov. 1 through March 31. Admission to the farm is free with state park entry (except for special programming and workshops), though donations are always welcomed.
