A love for fresh food from around the world, all things Italian and fresh ingredients led to the creation of Pig’s Tale Charcuterie, based in Indianapolis.
Troy Reed grew up going to a beloved local Italian restaurant where everything was homemade. From then on, he pursued the flavors of Italy, traveling hours to an authentic Italian market in Chicago, studying the language in college and later working in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant.

One day, a charcuterie plate at a restaurant showcasing made-in-house meats sparked his interest, and after his wife, Wendee, bought him a book about curing meats, he found his calling.
After experimenting with making salami, Pig’s Tale Charcuterie was born. The mission is simple: Make the best cured meats from the best ingredients. Pork is carefully and locally sourced from select pig breeds based on the type of cured meats. And it shows in the praise from customers – including ones from Italy.
The Reeds are proud to bring delicious flavors to the Midwest and beyond. Learn more and check out the online shop at pigstale.com.

The charcuterie board looked like a dream! I’m a huge fan of European style cold cuts and cheese, while having never met an olive I didn’t like. Thanks for the chance to win it!
As a farm boy I sure do prefer direct farm meat. Thank you for the gift to the Farm Bureau family.
