Spreading Freshness at Dillman Farm
Rachel Bertone Stroop | Posted on
Family-owned Dillman Farm began with apple butter. In 1970, they started making and selling the fruit butter around town. Today, the Bloomington-based company makes more than 100 natural fruit butters as well as dressings, salsas and more.
The company prides itself on making its products the old-fashioned way, with whole fruit and pure cane sugar. They contain no corn syrup or preservatives, so customers are treated to as much fruit as can fit in the jar. Dillman’s motto of keeping things simple can also be seen in its packaging. The company uses 20 percent recycled glass in its jars and 50 percent recycled cardboard in its boxes.
