Through the years, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Lafayette, Madison, New Albany and Terre Haute hosted the fair.
In 1892, the fair moved to the Indiana State Fair & Event Center in Indianapolis, where it has been ever since.
The Indiana State Fair is the sixth oldest state fair in the country.
