Since 1890, Abbott’s Candy has crafted handmade caramels and chocolates using the same classic recipe originated by the founder, William Clay “W.C.” Abbott.

Opening the business in his hometown, Hagerstown, W.C. fulfilled his lifelong dream to give candy lovers the best candy around. Three generations of Abbott’s family continued W.C.’s legacy, making Abbott’s Candies the oldest candy company in Indiana.

In 2012, Jay and Lynn Noel, who owned and managed Abbott’s Also in Indianapolis, purchased Abbott’s factory and store in Hagerstown and enjoy keeping this family-oriented, handmade candy a memorable Indiana brand.

With caramels, chocolate, truffles and sugar-free options, there is something for every sweet tooth. Abbott’s candies are available through several wholesale carriers and by many organizations via fundraisers. Factory and store tours are also available.
