The Barn at Crystal Spring Farm promotes agriculture in Johnson County with various agritourism, education and social events.
Mom-and-daughter duo Linda Norton and Jenny Mowrey built The Barn almost six years ago as a way to share their family farm with the community. Mowrey’s kids are the eighth generation to plant their roots on the farm in Franklin.
Since then, The Barn has hosted hundreds of weddings, birthday parties, graduation parties, showers, fundraisers, business meetings and more.
Twice each year in the fall and spring, The Barn hosts a market where local vendors who grow, raise and make their own commodities gather, drawing in more than 500 visitors.
Alongside this, they offer a spring planter workshop where each guest creates a unique planter to last all year long. In the summer, they offer a U-pick sunflower field where many come to cut flowers and take photos.
